Woodridge State School compete creditably in all sporting areas undertaken. The main sports catered for are soccer, netball and softball in both boys and girls fixtures. This involves children from years 5 and 6. Children not involved in interschool sport follow a program of skill building at the school.

Regular lessons in 'Learn to Swim' programs are made available to year 5 students. Parents will be advised in due course about when lessons are booked.

The Parents and Citizens' Association will financially support any students from our school who are selected to represent the school in Regional, State or Interstate teams. The subsidy will be 25% of the cost to a maximum of $150.00 per student (excluding clothing).

Active after-school sport

Students from middle to upper primary year levels are offered two afternoons after -school to participate in fun and challenging activities from a variety of local community sports clubs and providers.

Some of the popular activities supported are: basketball, judo, ten pin bowling, rugby league, soccer/football and hockey​.
