At Woodridge State School we are proud to welcome students from all over the world. If your family has recently emigrated please contact the office for more information on our Learning Pathways for Emerging Multilingual Students.
Purpose
Aligned with the Department of Education’s strategy of “Equity and Excellence: realising the potential of every student”, Woodridge State School’s Learning Pathways for Emerging Multilingualists is a whole school framework to support the highly diverse learning needs of the school community. The learning pathways framework is designed for students who are new to Australia from a non-English speaking country and transitioning into an English language environment in the classroom.
Learning
Informed by the ACARA EAL/D Learning Progression and the Queensland Bandscales, the Learning Pathways for Emerging Multilinguals Framework has four phases: Beginner, Emerging, Developing and Consolidating.
